2 Learning How to Write Mindfully

As I have been reading the book, Writing Mindfully, for my Writing 150 class at BYU, I have learned a lot about what kind of writer I am and what kind of writer I need to be. Brian Jackson, the author, is very relate able as he describes the endeavors and hardships we face when we write. He has been where we all have and his advice is very specific. I already feel like a better writer just from reading what I have thus far. I am thinking a lot more about my audience when I write, something I have never done before. The book is actually very engaging. It is probably the most interesting textbook I have ever had to read for school. I am really looking forward to growing as a writer as I finish reading the book and as I do all that it teaches. Already I have a much firmer grasp of the difference and importance of ethos, pathos, and logos in rhetoric.
